Milton War Memorial

Location: on a hilltop, on one side of the town green, Canton Avenue, Milton.

Description: In Flanders Fields is another title of this World War I memorial, inspired by the lines from the John McCrae poem: "To you from failing hands we throw the torch; be yours to hold it high." Leaning against a wall and with difficulty holding high a torch stands a young man. A characteristic war memorial by French, it is timeless, consoling and quiet.
