Clark Memorial, 1894

Location: On White Pine Ave., off Cherry Ave., Forest Hills Cemetery, Morton St. (State 203 Highway), Jamaica Plain, Boston.

Description: Daniel Chester French's four-year-old daughter Margaret posed for both marble low reliefs, "Kneeling Angels," that flank the elongated monument. Plaster casts of them hang on the south wall of French's Chesterwood Studio in Stockbridge. More than once he incorporated images of one or the other or both in his personal Christmas cards over the years.
