Description: George Robert White (1847-1922) was and, through a trust, continues to be one of Boston's greatest benefactors. Starting at the bottom of a company that he later owned, he made his fortune through manufacturing and real estate investment. His company was one of America's largest wholesale drug firms, and its best-known product was Cuticura Soap.
