Specialty Tour: Nature through French’s Eyes
with Laura Rogers-Castro

Daniel Chester French frequently walked along Chesterwood's woodland trails and through its gardens, recording his observations in his nature journals. Join biologist Laura Rogers-Castro for a guided exploration of the property's diverse habitats, seasonal flora and fauna, and the natural features that inspired French, while listening for birds highlighted in Chesterwood's bird guide. The ½-mile walk follows relatively easy dirt and gravel paths but includes some uneven terrain. Sturdy, comfortable footwear is recommended.
