Berkshire Pulse presents “Of This Place: on monuments and mountains”

Join Matthew Cumbie and his collaborators for a site-specific performance on and around the grounds of Chesterwood. Moving between past and present, this original work uses dance and storytelling to respond to the natural and built landscapes and rich histories of this place - inviting us to see ourselves in relation to those stories we surface and celebrating the connection between people and place. This work culminates a Berkshire Pulse sponsored week-long residency at Chesterwood and builds on a larger body of work directed by Cumbie, asking: what does it mean to be of a place? What does it mean to be of this place?
